Method

Preparing the Salmon Patties

  1. 1

    Chop the Salmon

Finely chop the fresh salmon into small pieces or pulse in a food processor until coarsely ground.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped salmon, breadcrumbs, parsley, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

  3. 3

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty.

Cooking the Salmon Patties

  1. 4

    Heat the Pan

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 5

    Cook the Patties

Place the salmon patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns lightly on the skillet or grill.

  2. 7

    Add Toppings

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of the bun, add lettuce, the cooked salmon patty, tomato slices, avocado slices, red onion, and a squeeze of lemon juice.

  3. 8

    Complete the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun, press down gently, and serve immediately.
