Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Fish

Rinse the whole branzino under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Make sure the fish is cleaned and scaled.

  2. 2

    Season the Fish

Sprinkle sea salt and black pepper inside and outside of the fish.

  3. 3

    Stuff the Fish

Stuff the cavity of the fish with fresh parsley, thyme, and slices of lemon.

  4. 4

    Prepare for Cooking

Drizzle olive oil over the fish, ensuring it's evenly coated.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Grill or Bake

Preheat the grill or oven to 400°F (200°C). If grilling, place the fish on a grill grate. If baking, place the fish on a baking sheet. Cook for about 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through if grilling, until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve

Remove the fish from the grill or oven. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve with additional lemon wedges and fresh herbs if desired.
