Pickling Ingredients

Method

Pickling Process

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brine

In a medium saucepan, combine water, white vinegar, and kosher salt. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring until the salt is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Jars

Clean and sterilize glass jars and lids by boiling them in water or running them through the dishwasher. Place garlic cloves, dill weed, black peppercorns, mustard seeds, red pepper flakes, and bay leaves at the bottom of each jar.

  3. 3

    Pack the Cucumbers

Wash the cucumbers thoroughly. Pack them tightly into the prepared jars, leaving some space at the top.

  4. 4

    Add the Brine

Pour the cooled brine over the cucumbers, ensuring they are completely submerged. Seal the jars with their lids.

  5. 5

    Refrigerate

Place the jars in the refrigerator. Allow the pickles to marinate for at least 48 hours before consuming for the best flavor.
