Chicken Thighs
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Add the chicken thighs and coat them well. Marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- 2
Coat the Chicken
In a shallow dish, add the all-purpose flour. Take the marinated chicken thighs out of the refrigerator, letting any excess buttermilk drip off, and dredge them in the flour until well coated.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Chicken
Carefully place the coated chicken thighs in the hot oil. Fry them for about 7-10 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- 5
Drain and Serve
Remove the fried chicken from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your choice of 2 sides.
