Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Cutting the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Soaking the Fries

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 3

    Frying the Fries

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 350°F (175°C). Drain and dry the potatoes, then fry them in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5–7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, then season with salt.

Cooking the Steak

  1. 4

    Seasoning the Steak

Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. 5

    Searing the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the steaks. Cook for 4–5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, depending on thickness.

  3. 6

    Resting the Steak

Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Making the Garlic Butter

  1. 7

    Preparing the Garlic

    Mince the garlic cloves finely.

  2. 8

    Mixing the Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, and lemon juice. Mix well until combined.

  3. 9

    Serving

Spread the garlic butter over the rested ribeye steaks just before serving.
