Rim the Glass
If desired, run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass and dip the rim into salt to coat it evenly.

Prepare the Cocktail
In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, lime juice, and triple sec. Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

Pour the Drink
Strain the mixture from the shaker into the prepared rocks glass filled with ice cubes.

Garnish
Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
