Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet.
- 2
Toasting
- 3
Toast the Bread
Place the baking sheet in the oven and toast the bread for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
Topping Preparation
- 4
Chop the Tomatoes
While the bread is toasting, chop the tomatoes into small cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.
- 5
Add Basil
Tear the fresh basil leaves into smaller pieces and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.
- 6
Season the Mixture
Add balsamic glaze, salt, and black pepper to the tomato and basil mixture. Toss gently until everything is well combined.
Assembly
- 7
Assemble the Bruschetta
Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Spoon the tomato and basil mixture generously onto each slice of toasted bread.
- 8
Serve
Drizzle any remaining balsamic glaze over the assembled bruschetta and serve immediately.
