Parmesan Truffle Fries

Garlic & Herb Compound Butter

Method

Preparing the Steak

1

Seasoning the Steak

Generously season the bone-in ribeye steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.

2

Cooking the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest.

Making the Fries

3

Preparing the Potatoes

Wash and cut the russet potatoes into thin strips. Soak in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

4

Frying the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Drain and dry the potatoes, then fry in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels.

5

Finishing the Fries

While fries are still hot, toss them with grated Parmesan cheese, truffle oil, and salt to taste.

Making the Compound Butter

6

Combining Ingredients

In a bowl, mix together the softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped thyme, and salt until well combined.

7

Forming the Butter

Transfer the mixture to a piece of plastic wrap, roll it into a log shape, and refrigerate until firm.
