Mushrooms

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mushrooms

Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. Trim the stems if necessary and slice them into even pieces.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Garlic

Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Mushrooms

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet with the garlic. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and have released their moisture.

  4. 4

    Add the White Wine

Pour the white wine over the sautéed mushrooms. Increase the heat to medium-high and let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes, allowing the alcohol to cook off and the flavors to meld.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Breadcrumb Topping

In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, chopped fresh parsley, a pinch of salt, and a drizzle of olive oil. Mix well until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated.

  6. 6

    Top and Bake

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Transfer the mushroom mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly on top. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the breadcrumbs are golden brown and crispy.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Garnish with additional parsley if desired, and enjoy your delicious mushroom dish!
