Select spirit
Decide whether to make a gin martini (Tanqueray) or vodka martini (Tito's). Measure 2.5 oz of your chosen spirit with a jigger.
Mixing
- 3
Add ingredients to mixing glass
Fill the mixing glass or shaker with 1 cup of fresh ice. Pour in 2.5 oz of the chosen spirit and 0.5 oz dry vermouth, followed by 0.25 oz olive brine.

Stir (recommended) or shake
For a clear, silky martini, stir the mixture with a bar spoon for 20–30 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted. If you prefer a colder, slightly aerated martini, shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds.

Prepare garnish
While stirring/shaking, thread three blue cheese-stuffed olives onto a cocktail pick. If using a lemon twist, cut a 1/2-inch strip of peel and set aside.
