Method

Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Caramelize the Onions

In a skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add 1 cup of thinly sliced onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes until the onions are golden brown and caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Toast the Pecans

In a dry skillet, toast 1 cup of chopped pecans over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until fragrant and lightly browned. Stir frequently to prevent burning. Remove from heat and set aside.

Baking the Camembert

  1. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 4

    Prepare the Skillet

Place the wheel of Camembert cheese in a cast-iron skillet. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of Eagles Nest Ranch honey and 1 tablespoon of Olivewood balsamico.

  3. 5

    Layer Ingredients

Spread the caramelized onions evenly over the Camembert cheese, followed by the blackberry bacon preserves. Sprinkle the toasted pecans on top.

  4. 6

    Bake the Camembert

Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is gooey and bubbly.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve Warm

Carefully remove the skillet from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Serve the baked Camembert warm with crostini and sesame lavosh for dipping.
