Method

Chocolate Molten Cake

  1. 1

    Melt Chocolate and Butter

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, and egg yolks until pale and thick. Gradually pour in the melted chocolate mixture and whisk until fully incorporated.

  2. 2

    Combine Dry Ingredients

Sift the all-purpose flour and salt into the chocolate mixture. Add the vanilla extract and gently fold until just combined. Do not overmix.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Ramekins

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust with flour to prevent sticking.

  4. 4

    Bake

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still soft.

  5. 5

    Cool and Serve

Remove from the oven and let the cakes cool for 1 minute. Invert each ramekin onto a plate and serve immediately.

  1. 6

In a bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar, all-purpose flour, rolled oats, and salt until crumbly.

  2. 7

Spread the crumble mixture on a baking sheet and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool.

Fresh Berries

  1. 8

    Prepare Berries

Wash the strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries thoroughly. Slice the strawberries in half if they are large.

Hazelnut Ice Cream

  1. 9

    Serve Ice Cream

Scoop hazelnut ice cream into bowls or directly on top of the molten cake before serving.
