Method

Prepare the Coffee Mixture

  1. 1

    Brew the Coffee

Brew 1 cup of strong coffee and let it cool to room temperature.

  2. 2

    Mix the Coffee Mixture

In a shallow dish, combine the cooled coffee, coffee liqueur, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Prepare the Cream Mixture

  1. 3

    Whisk the Egg Yolks

In a bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and granulated sugar until the mixture is pale and creamy.

  2. 4

    Add Mascarpone

Fold in the mascarpone cheese until smooth and fully combined.

  3. 5

    Whip the Heavy Cream

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.

  4. 6

    Combine Creams

Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well blended and fluffy.

Assemble the Tiramisu

  1. 7

    Dip Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they're soaked but not soggy.

  2. 8

    Layer the Tiramisu

In a rectangular dish, layer half of the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture on top.

  3. 9

    Repeat Layers

Repeat with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.

  4. 10

    Chill

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  5. 11

    Serve

Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder using a fine sieve.
