Pasta Preparation

Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the mostaccioli and spaghetti. Cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Make the Meat Sauce
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef (or sausage) over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat. Add marinara sauce or meat sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.

Layer with Cheese
Spread half of the ricotta cheese over the pasta layer. Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and half of the Parmesan cheese. Repeat the layers with the remaining pasta, ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
Baking

Bake the Pasta
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
