Fries
Hot Sauce
Method
Preparing the Fries
- 1
Cook the Fries
Preheat your oven or fryer according to the instructions for your frozen French fries. If using the oven, typically preheat to 425°F (220°C). Spread the frozen fries on a baking sheet or place them in the fryer basket.
- 2
Fry or Bake
If using an oven, bake the fries for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through. If using a fryer, cook according to the manufacturer's instructions until golden and crispy.
Making the Hot Sauce
- 3
Prepare the Hot Sauce
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the hot sauce, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Stir well to combine.
- 4
Simmer
Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. This will help meld the flavors together.
Combining and Serving
- 5
Combine Fries and Sauce
Once the fries are cooked, remove them from the oven or fryer and place them in a large bowl. Pour the hot sauce over the fries and toss gently to ensure they are well-coated.
- 6
Serve
Transfer the hot fries to a serving plate and optionally drizzle with additional hot sauce or garnish with chopped green onions or cilantro. Serve immediately while hot.
