Method

Main Dish Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 2

Pat the half slab of ribs dry with paper towels, then season both sides evenly with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  3. 3

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up. Cover the ribs with another piece of aluminum foil to keep them moist.

  4. 4

Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the meat is tender and easily pulls away from the bone.

  5. 5

Remove the ribs from the oven and brush generously with BBQ sauce. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 15-20 minutes to caramelize the sauce.

Sides Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Fresh-Cut Fries

While the ribs are baking, wash and cut the potatoes into fry shapes.

  2. 7

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potatoes in batches for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.

  3. 8

    Bake the Potatoes

For the baked potatoes, wash and pierce them with a fork. Rub with a little oil and sprinkle with salt.

  4. 9

Place them directly on the oven rack (or on a baking sheet) and bake for 45-60 minutes, until tender.

  5. 10

    Prepare the Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine the coleslaw mix with the coleslaw dressing. Toss well to coat.

  6. 11

    Cover and refrigerate until serving.

  7. 12

    Prepare the Bread

Warm the bread rolls in the oven for the last 10 minutes of baking time for the ribs.
