Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mash

In a large pot, heat 300ml of water to around 65°C (149°F). Add the malted barley and stir well. Maintain the temperature for about 30 minutes to allow the sugars to extract.

  2. 2

    Boil the Wort

After the mash is complete, remove the grains and bring the liquid (wort) to a boil. Add the Cascade hops and boil for 15 minutes. Then add the Citra hops and boil for an additional 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cool the Wort

Remove the pot from heat and cool the wort quickly using an immersion chiller or an ice bath until it reaches room temperature.

  4. 4

    Fermentation

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Add the yeast and sugar, seal the vessel, and let it ferment at room temperature for 3-5 days.

  5. 5

    Carbonate

Once fermentation is complete, add carbonation drops to the beer. Transfer to bottles and let them carbonate for another 3-5 days.

  6. 6

    Enjoy

Chill the bottles in the refrigerator before serving. Pour into a glass and enjoy your homemade Gruvi Non-Alcoholic IPA!
