Method

Cooking the Linguine

  1. 1

    Cook the Linguine

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes, until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Preparing the Shrimp Scampi

  1. 2

    Sauté Garlic

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  2. 3

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Season with salt and black pepper.

  3. 4

    Add White Wine

Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for another 3-4 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate and the sauce to reduce slightly.

  4. 5

    Finish the Sauce

Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley. Adjust seasoning to taste, if needed.

Combining and Serving

  1. 6

    Combine Linguine and Sauce

Toss the cooked linguine in the skillet with the shrimp and sauce until well coated.

  2. 7

    Serve

Plate the shrimp scampi and linguine and serve immediately. Optionally, serve with a side of house salad, Caesar salad, or soup.
