Method
Pizza Base Preparation
- 1
Activate the Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- 2
Mix the Dough
In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- 3
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let the Dough Rise
Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Topping the Pizza
- 5
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) to prepare for baking the pizza.
- 6
Prepare the Pizza Base
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out to fit your pizza stone or baking sheet. Transfer it to the prepared surface.
- 7
Spread the Artichoke Dip
Spread the artichoke dip evenly over the pizza base.
- 8
Add Spinach and Peppers
Evenly distribute the chopped spinach and roasted red peppers on top of the artichoke dip.
- 9
Add Mushrooms and Capers
Sprinkle the sliced mushrooms and capers over the top of the pizza.
- 10
Add Cheese
Finally, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and provolone cheese generously over all the toppings.
Baking the Pizza
- 11
Bake the Pizza
Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- 12
Cool and Serve
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot.
