Pasta and Sauce

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Chicken and Sausage

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and Italian sausage. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  1. 3

    Sauté Garlic and Spices

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 4

    Add Tomatoes and Season

Add crushed tomatoes to the skillet. Season with salt, black pepper, and dried oregano. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 10 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

Combine and Serve

  1. 5

    Mix Everything Together

Add the cooked chicken, sausage, and fettuccine to the sauce. Toss everything together until well coated. Stir in the chopped fresh basil.

  2. 6

    Serve

Serve the fettuccine diavolo hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
