Preparation
- 1
Cook the Ravioli
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the frozen cheese ravioli and cook according to package instructions, usually about 4-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Marinara Sauce
In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in the marinara sauce, and stir in dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Let simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Assembly and Baking
- 3
Layer the Ravioli
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Layer half of the cooked ravioli over the sauce.
- 4
Add Cheese
Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese over the ravioli. Add another layer of marinara sauce on top.
- 5
Repeat Layers
Repeat the layering process with the remaining ravioli, sauces, and cheeses, finishing with a top layer of mozzarella and Parmesan.
- 6
Bake the Dish
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Final Touch and Serving
- 7
Garnish and Serve
Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil before serving. Pair with house salad, Caesar salad, or your choice of soup.
