Tuna Mixture

Tostada Base

Method

Prepare Tuna Mixture

  1. 1

    Prepare Guajillo Peppers

Remove the stems and seeds from the guajillo peppers. Soak them in hot water for about 15 minutes until they are softened.

  2. 2

    Chop Shallot and Olives

Finely chop the shallot and Kalamata olives, and set aside.

  3. 3

    Blend Tuna Mixture

In a food processor, combine the softened guajillo peppers, canned tuna (drained), chopped shallot, Kalamata olives, and capers. Blend until well mixed but still slightly chunky.

Prepare Tostada Base

  1. 4

    Prepare Tlayuda

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the tlayudas one at a time and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are crispy and golden brown. Remove from skillet.

  2. 5

    Season Tlayuda

Sprinkle salt and black pepper to taste on each side of the cooked tlayuda.

Assemble Tostada

  1. 6

    Top with Tuna Mixture

Spread a generous amount of the tuna mixture on top of each crispy tlayuda.

  2. 7

    Serve

Cut the tlayudas into wedges and serve immediately. Enjoy your Tuna Tostadas!
