Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Grouper Cheeks

Rinse the grouper cheeks under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Remove any skin or membranes if necessary.

  2. 2

    Mince the Garlic

Peel the garlic cloves and mince them finely. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Chop the Parsley

Rinse the fresh parsley, shake off excess water, and chop it finely. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  2. 5

    Cook the Grouper Cheeks

Add the grouper cheeks to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

  3. 6

    Add Lemon Juice and Parsley

Once the grouper cheeks are cooked, add lemon juice and chopped parsley to the skillet. Stir gently to combine and let it cook for an additional minute.

  4. 7

    Optional Additions

If you'd like to add a bit of heat, sprinkle in the red chili flakes and stir. For an extra briny flavor, add the capers at this point.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Dish

Transfer the grouper cheeks to a serving platter and spoon any remaining pan juices over the top. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.

  2. 9

    Serve

Serve the grouper cheeks immediately with your choice of sides, such as rice, quinoa, or a fresh salad.
