Prepare the Caramel
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the granulated sugar until it becomes a golden-brown liquid. Quickly pour it into the bottom of a round baking dish, tilting to coat the bottom evenly. Set aside to harden.

Bake the Flan
Pour the flan mixture over the hardened caramel in the baking dish. Place the baking dish in a larger baking pan filled with water to create a water bath. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 50-60 minutes, or until set. Let it cool before refrigerating.

Prepare the Cake Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, mix the milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and eggs until well combined. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Bake the Cake
Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan.

Prepare the Crumble
In a bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, softened butter, chopped pecans, and salt until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Bake the Crumble
Spread the crumble mixture on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool.
Assembly

Layer the Cake
Once the flan is set and the cake is soaked, carefully layer the tres leches cake on top of the flan in the baking dish.

Add the Crumble
Finally, sprinkle the cooled pecan cookie crumble generously on top of the cake layer.

Serve
Refrigerate for a few hours or overnight to set. Serve chilled and enjoy!
