Salsa Roja

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Dice the tomatoes, onion, and jalapeño pepper. Mince the garlic and chop the cilantro.

    Blend the Salsa

    In a blender, combine the diced tomatoes, onion, minced garlic, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Blend until smooth.

    Taste and Adjust

    Taste the salsa and adjust seasoning with more salt or lime juice as needed.

Salsa Verde

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Husk and rinse the tomatillos. Chop the fresh cilantro and green onion, and mince the garlic.

    Blend the Salsa

    In a blender, combine the tomatillos, cilantro, green onion, lime juice, salt, and minced garlic. Blend until smooth.

    Taste and Adjust

    Taste the salsa verde and adjust seasoning with more salt or lime juice if needed.

Chips

    Cut the Tortillas

    Cut each corn tortilla into triangles to form chips.

    Heat the Oil

    In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

    Fry the Chips

    Carefully add the tortilla triangles to the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
