Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bison Patties

In a large bowl, combine ground bison, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form into 4 equal-sized patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the bison patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness. Add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  3. 3

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Layer lettuce, a slice of tomato, and pickles on the bottom half of each bun. Place the cooked bison patty on top, followed by ketchup and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun and set aside.

Fries or Salad Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Fries

Cook the frozen French fries according to the package instructions until crispy.

  2. 6

    Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, combine mixed salad greens, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then season with salt and pepper. Toss to combine.

Poutine Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare the Gravy and Curds

In a saucepan, heat the gravy until hot. Once the fries are cooked, place them on a serving plate, top with hot gravy and sprinkle cheese curds over the top.
