Preparation

  1. 1

    Cleaning the Octopus

Rinse the octopus under cold water to remove any impurities. Remove the beak and eyes if necessary.

  2. 2

    Cooking the Octopus

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add 2 tablespoons of sea salt to the water. Once boiling, add the octopus. Reduce heat to a simmer and cover. Cook for about 45 minutes, or until tender.

Marinade

  1. 3

    Making the Marinade

In a bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Stir well.

  2. 4

    Marinating the Octopus

Once the octopus is cooked and cooled, cut it into manageable pieces and place it in the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Grilling

  1. 5

    Preheating the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 6

    Grilling the Octopus

Remove the octopus from the marinade and place it on the grill. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until charred and crispy.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plating the Dish

Serve the grilled octopus on a platter. Drizzle with the leftover marinade and garnish with lemon wedges and parsley sprigs.
