Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth. Let it cool slightly.
- 4
Mix Sugars and Eggs
In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, large eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until the mixture is pale and slightly thickened.
- 5
Combine Mixtures
Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and stir gently until combined.
- 6
Add Flour and Salt
Sift the all-purpose flour and add to the chocolate mixture along with a pinch of salt. Fold gently until just combined and no flour streaks remain.
- 7
Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling them about 3/4 full.

Serve
Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.
