Wonton Filling

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Make the Wonton Filling

In a bowl, combine ground pork, minced garlic, minced ginger, chopped green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well until fully combined.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Wontons

Soak rice paper wrappers in warm water until pliable. Place a small spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of each wrapper. Fold and seal the edges to form a wonton.

  3. 3

    Cook the Broth

In a large pot, combine chicken broth, fish sauce, lime juice, and Thai chili paste. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.

  4. 4

    Steam the Wontons

Place the wontons in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper. Steam over boiling water for about 8-10 minutes until cooked through.

  5. 5

    Serve the Soup

Place steamed wontons in a bowl, ladle hot broth over them, and garnish with bean sprouts and chopped cilantro. Serve immediately.
