Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Dredge the chicken tenders in this mixture to coat evenly.
- 2
Marinate
Soak the coated chicken tenders in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes to tenderize and add flavor.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken tenders in batches, frying until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- 4
Prepare the Fries
While the chicken is frying, cook the fries according to package instructions until crispy.
- 5
Assemble the Dish
Once the chicken tenders are cooked, place them on a plate. Top each tender with a slice of American cheese, add a layer of lettuce, and drizzle mayonnaise over the top. Serve with fries and ketchup on the side.
