Shawarma and Sides

Method

Preparation

1

Marinate the Beef

In a bowl, combine yogurt, olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, turmeric, salt, and black pepper. Add the thinly sliced beef, mixing well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

2

Cook the Beef

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated beef slices for about 5-7 minutes, or until cooked through and slightly charred. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.

3

Prepare the Sides

Cook the French fries according to package instructions. In a bowl, combine coleslaw mix with mayonnaise and lemon juice. Toss until well coated.

4

Assemble the Shawarma

Warm the pita bread slightly, then fill each with cooked beef, pickles, and drizzle with garlic sauce. Serve with French fries and coleslaw on the side.
