Method
Chicken Tenders Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into strips of about 1 inch wide. This will ensure they cook evenly and are easy for kids to eat.
- 2
- 3
Coat the Chicken
Take each chicken strip and first dip it in the flour mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated. Shake off any excess flour, then dip it into the egg, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs onto the chicken to ensure they stick.
- 4
Fry the Chicken Tenders
In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the coated chicken strips in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Ranch Dressing Preparation
- 5
Mix Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and well combined.
- 6
Taste and Adjust
Taste the ranch dressing and adjust seasoning if necessary. You can add more salt, pepper, or dill according to your preference.
- 7
Chill
Cover the ranch dressing and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.
