Prepare the Cherries
Wash and pit the Michigan cherries, then set aside.

In a large saucepan, combine the apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, molasses, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, and salt.

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is dissolved.

Add the prepared cherries to the saucepan and stir to combine.

Allow the mixture to simmer for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cherries are tender and the mixture has thickened slightly.

Stir in the lemon juice and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
