Method
Preparation of Pork Strips
- 1
Marinate the Pork
Slice the pork tenderloin into thin strips. In a mixing bowl, combine the pork strips with minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and grated ginger. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Prepare the Green Onions
While the pork is marinating, slice the green onions thinly, separating the white parts from the green tops.
Preparation of Braised Tofu
- 3
Prepare the Tofu
Drain the firm tofu and press it between paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut into cubes.
- 4
Braised Tofu
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides. Pour in vegetable broth and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Mix cornstarch with a little water and stir it into the skillet to thicken the sauce.
Cooking
- 5
Stir-Fry the Pork
In a large skillet or wok, heat a little oil over high heat. Add the marinated pork strips and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they are cooked through and slightly caramelized. Add the white parts of the green onions and stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes.
- 6
Combine Tofu and Pork
Add the braised tofu to the skillet with the pork. Stir gently to combine and heat through for another 2-3 minutes. Adjust seasoning with more soy sauce if needed.
Serving
- 7
Serve the Dish
Serve the pork strips and tofu mixture over a bed of steamed rice or brown rice. Garnish with the green tops of the green onions.
