Prepare the Chicken

Cut the Chicken
Slice the chicken breast into strips, about 1 inch wide.

Prepare the Breading
In a shallow bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper.

Dredge the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first in the egg, then coat with the flour mixture.
Fry the Chicken

Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Fry the Chicken Strips
In batches, fry the chicken strips for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Prepare the Hot Teriyaki Sauce

Combine Ingredients
In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes.

Thicken the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth, then add to the saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sauce thickens.
Serve the Dish

Plate the Chicken
Place the crispy chicken strips on a serving plate.

Drizzle the hot teriyaki sauce generously over the chicken.
