Dough Preparation
- 1
Make the Dough
In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water while mixing until a dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- 2
Rest the Dough
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Filling Preparation
- 3
Prepare the Filling
In a bowl, mix ground chicken, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Assembling the Pot Stickers
- 4
Shape the Dumplings
Divide the dough into small portions and roll each into a thin circle. Place about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center of each circle.
- 5
Seal the Dumplings
Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Pinch the edges to seal tightly.
Cooking the Pot Stickers
- 6
Pan-Sear the Dumplings
Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the dumplings in the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
- 7
Steam the Dumplings
Add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and cover immediately. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the water has evaporated and the dumplings are cooked through.
Dipping Sauce Preparation
- 8
Mix the Sauce
In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, sesame oil, and chili flakes. Stir well and set aside.
