Pork Preparation

Method

Pork Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

Cut the pork belly into bite-sized pieces. Season generously with salt and black pepper. Make sure the pork is evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until it's shimmering.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Pork

Add the seasoned pork belly pieces to the heated oil. Sauté for about 10-12 minutes, or until the pork is crispy and golden brown, stirring occasionally.

10-Spice Seasoning

  1. 4

    Mix the Spices

While the pork is cooking, combine all the spices (paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, ground coriander, dried oregano, dried thyme, cayenne pepper, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg) in a small bowl.

  2. 5

    Season the Pork

Once the pork is crispy, sprinkle the 10-spice seasoning mixture over the pork. Stir well to ensure all pieces are coated evenly and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Rice

  1. 6

    Prepare the Rice

While the pork is finishing, prepare your choice of steamed rice or brown rice according to package instructions.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Serve the cracked pepper pork over a bed of rice. Enjoy!
