Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Romaine

Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Pat dry with a clean kitchen towel or spin in a salad spinner. Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place in a large salad bowl.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Halve the cherry tomatoes and slice the cucumber. Add both to the bowl with the romaine lettuce.

Crouton Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Croutons

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread into cubes and place them in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Toss well to coat the bread evenly.

  2. 4

    Bake the Croutons

Spread the coated bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Stir halfway through for even browning.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 5

    Make the Caesar Dressing

In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, grated parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt to taste. Whisk together until smooth and well blended.

Assemble the Salad

  1. 6

    Combine and Serve

Pour the homemade Caesar dressing over the prepared salad base. Toss gently to coat all the ingredients evenly. Top with homemade croutons and sprinkle some additional parmesan cheese over the top. Serve immediately.
