Pizza Base and Toppings

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Kale

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add chopped kale and cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) or as directed on your pizza dough package.

  3. 3

    Roll Out the Dough

On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Pizza

Spread the sautéed kale and garlic mixture evenly over the dough. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Scatter toasted pine nuts over the cheese, and then lay the slices of prosciutto on top.

  5. 5

    Bake the Pizza

Drizzle the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over the toppings. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve warm.
