Rolls

Method

Rolls

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix the Ingredients

Add in the melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually add the flour, mixing until a dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let it Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  5. 5

    Shape the Rolls

Punch down the dough, divide it into small pieces, and shape them into rolls. Place them on a greased baking sheet.

  6. 6

    Second Rise

Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

  7. 7

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Date Butter

  1. 8

    Prepare the Date Butter

In a food processor, combine the pitted dates, softened butter, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  2. 9

    Serve

Serve the date butter alongside the freshly baked Parker rolls.
