Marinade

Beef

Method

Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Marinade

In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, peanut butter, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, lime juice, and red pepper flakes until well combined and smooth.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Beef

Place the beef flank steak in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the beef, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for better flavor.

Cooking the Beef

  1. 3

    Prepare the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using skewers, soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.

  2. 4

    Skewer the Beef

Remove the beef from the marinade and discard the marinade. Slice the beef into thin strips (about 1 inch wide) and thread them onto the skewers.

  3. 5

    Grill the Skewers

Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness. The beef should have nice grill marks and be slightly charred.

Serving

  1. 6

    Prepare the Plate

Arrange the grilled beef satay skewers on a serving platter. Garnish with sliced cucumber and chopped cilantro.

  2. 7

    Serve with Peanut Sauce

Serve the beef satay with a side of peanut sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
