Prepare the Ingredients

Prepare the Calamari
In a bowl, combine the cleaned and sliced calamari with salt and pepper. Mix well to ensure the calamari is evenly seasoned.

Make the Aioli
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and set aside.

Fry the Calamari

Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Coat the Calamari
Dredge the seasoned calamari in all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess flour.

Fry the Calamari
Carefully add the coated calamari to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serve the Dish

Arrange the fried calamari on a serving plate. Top with sliced pepperoncini and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
