Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

Add salt to the boiling water.

Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside, reserving a small amount of pasta water (about 1/2 cup).
Prepare Shrimp Marinara Sauce

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Add the large shrimp to the sauce, cooking until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-5 minutes.

Stir in the fresh basil and mix well.
Combine and Serve

Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the shrimp marinara sauce.

Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time if the sauce is too thick.
