Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the seafood

Rinse the shrimp, mussels, calamari, and crab legs under cold water. Ensure the mussels are scrubbed clean and any beards are removed. If using frozen seafood, thaw it in the refrigerator overnight.

  2. 2

    Make the marinade

In a bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the shrimp

In a large skillet over medium heat, add half of the marinade. Once hot, add the shrimp and cook for about 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

  2. 4

    Cook the mussels

In the same skillet, add the mussels along with the remaining marinade. Cover and cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the mussels have opened. Discard any mussels that do not open.

  3. 5

    Cook the calamari

Add the calamari to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until they are opaque and tender.

  4. 6

    Heat the crab legs

If using precooked crab legs, simply add them to the skillet for the last 2 minutes to heat through. If raw, steam them for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the seafood

Arrange the cooked shrimp, mussels, calamari, and crab legs on a large serving platter. Garnish with lemon wedges.

  2. 8

    Serve with accompaniments

Serve the seafood platter with cocktail sauce and hot sauce on the side for dipping.
