Method

Burrito Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

In a slow cooker or pot, combine 2 cups of shredded beef with your favorite seasonings (such as cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, and salt). Cook on low for 6-8 hours until tender, then shred further if needed.

  2. 2

Heat the Refried Beans and Rice

In a small saucepan, warm 1 cup of refried pinto beans over medium heat, stirring occasionally. In another saucepan, heat 1 cup of cooked rice until warm. Set aside.

Assembling the Burrito

  1. 3

    Warm the Tortillas

In a dry skillet over medium heat, warm the 4 flour tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

  2. 4

    Fill the Burrito

On each tortilla, layer about 1/2 cup of shredded beef, 1/4 cup of refried beans, and 1/4 cup of cooked rice. Drizzle with 1/4 cup of burrito sauce.

  3. 5

    Add Toppings

Top each filled tortilla with shredded lettuce, a dollop of sour cream, and a generous pour of cheese dip.

  4. 6

    Roll the Burrito

Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top. Repeat for all tortillas.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve and Enjoy

Cut the burritos in half diagonally and serve with extra burrito sauce on the side, along with any remaining rice and beans.
