Juicing Lemons
Juice the fresh lemons until you have about 1 cup of lemon juice. You can use a citrus juicer or simply squeeze them by hand.

Making Sugar Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Heat on medium until the sugar dissolves completely, creating a simple syrup. Remove from heat and let it cool.

In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, the cooled sugar syrup, and the remaining 3 cups of water. Stir well to combine.

Adding Mint
Add the fresh mint leaves to the pitcher. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press the mint leaves to release their flavor.
Serving

Chilling and Serving
Add ice cubes to the pitcher or individual glasses. Pour the mint lemonade over the ice, stir gently, and serve immediately.
