Preparation
- 1
Toast the Brown Rice
In a small skillet over medium heat, add the brown rice. Stir frequently for about 5-7 minutes or until the rice becomes golden brown and fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.
- 2
Boil the Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat. Add the toasted brown rice and green tea leaves to the hot water.
- 4
Steep the Tea
Cover the saucepan and let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on your preferred strength. The longer you steep, the more robust the flavor will be.
- 5
Strain and Serve
After steeping, strain the tea into cups to remove the rice and tea leaves. Serve hot and enjoy!
