Flatbread and Toppings

Method

Preparation and Assembly

1

Make the Flatbread

In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, olive oil, and water. Mix until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let rest for 30 minutes.

2

Cook the Flatbread

Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each into a flat circle. Cook each flatbread in the skillet for about 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly browned and cooked through.

3

Prepare the Toppings

Thinly slice the grilled apple and set aside. Grate the Alpha Tolman cheese.

4

Assemble the Flatbread

On each flatbread, layer the cheese, smoked beef, grilled apple slices, and pickled onion. Top with fresh arugula and drizzle with BBQ sauce.

5

Serve

Cut the flatbreads into wedges and serve warm.
