Tea Base

Sweetener (Optional)

Flavoring (Optional)

Method

Preparing the Tea Base

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Add Tea

Once the water is boiling, add 4 teaspoons of tea leaves (or 4 tea bags) to the pot.

  3. 3

    Steep the Tea

Remove the pot from heat and let the tea steep for 5-10 minutes depending on your desired strength.

  4. 4

    Strain the Tea

If using loose tea leaves, strain the tea into a teapot or pitcher, discarding the leaves. If using tea bags, simply remove the bags.

Sweetening the Tea

  1. 5

    Add Sweetener

If you prefer sweet tea, add sugar, honey, or stevia to the warm tea. Stir until fully dissolved.

Flavoring the Tea

  1. 6

    Add Flavoring (Optional)

If desired, add lemon juice for a citrusy flavor or fresh mint leaves for a refreshing taste.

Serving the Tea

  1. 7

    Chill or Serve Warm

You can serve the tea warm or chill it in the refrigerator for iced tea. Adjust sweetness if necessary before serving.
