Method

Preparation of Shrimp

  1. 1

    Boil the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning to the boiling water.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the peeled and deveined jumbo shrimp to the pot. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook.

  3. 3

    Drain and Chill

Once cooked, drain the shrimp in a colander and run cold water over them to stop the cooking process. Allow them to chill for a few minutes.

  4. 4

    Serve

Arrange the shrimp on a serving platter with lemon wedges for garnish.

Preparation of Cocktail Sauce

  1. 5

    Mix Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 1 teaspoon of hot sauce.

  2. 6

    Season to Taste

Stir the mixture well and add salt to taste. Adjust horseradish and hot sauce according to your preference for spiciness.

  3. 7

    Serve

Transfer the cocktail sauce to a serving bowl and serve alongside the chilled shrimp.
